GEORGE MOCK relocated from boulder, co TO TRUCKEE, CA IN 2014 to pursue a career in high-end residential architecture. since then he has been a part of over 200 projects in the truckee, tahoe, and nevada area ranging from small interior remodels to completely customized and award-winning luxury homes. in designing, george gives special attention to the forces of nature present to the region, focuses on the details that make each project unique, works closely with the build team during construction, and most importantly endeavors for client satisfaction at every step of the process.

in tandem with his passion for architecture, george combines his background in computer software to provide leading technologies to the project delivery process. through years of development, george implements advanced software tools that improve architectural visualization, automates quality control measures, and fosters efficiency for the design-construction team.

george founded meraki modern in 2022 with the express purpose to bring his passion for architecture to a more intimate level with every project. by providing direct services from inception to completion, and implementing customized software, he is able to offer architecture services that truly embrace the meaning of "meraki".

THE FIRST STEP TO A SUCESSFUL PROJECT HAPPENS BEFORE ANY DESIGN IS AUTHORED. AFTER COMPLETING AN INTIAL SITE VISIT AND PROGRAM REVIEW, WE'LL DEVELOP A PRELIMINARY PROJECT REPORT USED TO GUIDE THE DESIGN THROUGH TO COMPLETION.

ALL DESIGNS ARE MODELED IN 3D AND ARE SHARABLE TO OUR CLIENTS WITH ANYTIME-ACCESSIBLE WEB LINKS. WE AIM TO DEVELOP REALISTIC MODELS THAT ARE VIRTUAL REALITY CAPABLE SO OUR CLIENTS CAN FULLY VISUALIZE THE PROJECT BEFORE ANY CONSTRUCTION TAKES PLACE.

ONCE THE DESIGN HAS BEEN APPROVED BY THE CLIENT AND ANY REQUIRED AGENCIES, WE PARTNER WITH OUR CONSULTANTS TO COMPLETE THE PROJECT DOCUMENTS FOR PERMITTING AND CONSTRUCTION.

IF A CONTRACTOR HAS NOT YET BEEN SELECTED, WE CAN PROVIDE REFERRALS AND BIDDING ASSISTANCE TO QUALIFIED CONTRACTORS FOR YOUR PROJECT.

THE FINAL AND MOST IMPORTANT PART TO A SUCESSFUL PROJECT IS A ROBUST ARCHITECT-CONTRACTOR RELATIONSHIP. WE WORK CLOSELY WITH THE BUILD TEAM DURING THE PROEJCT'S CONSTRUCTION AND GIVE HIGHEST PRIORITY RESPONSE TO THE NEEDS OF THE CONTRACTOR.

jurisdictional approval can be challenging for any project, the truckee-tahoe area is composed of two states, five counties, four city jurisdictions, and countless home owner's associations. Luckily we've worked in almost all of them, and have strived to foster relationships to imrpove communiciation and expedite the approval process.
